Goods in Transit Insurance

CV Electronics Ltd (the seller) accepts no liability for any delay, loss or damage to your property in transit to the seller, by using our free collection courier service, you are acknowledging the liability for any delay, loss or damage to your property in transit is (yours) the buyers.

Should the Buyer wish to insure their property against loss or damage in transit, they may elect to purchase UPS Capital insurance.

UPS Capital, the insurance and financial services division of UPS, provides cover for shipments up to a specified declared value during transit. This optional service ensures that, in the unlikely event of loss or damage, the Buyer is entitled to compensation up to the insured value selected at the time of shipment.

In the event that your parcel is lost or damaged in transit, any compensation payable shall be limited to the amount of insurance cover purchased by the Buyer. This amount is stated on your invoice.

Documents required in order to claim:

In order to claim you will need to provide an invoice for the replacement on a like for like basis of the goods lost or damaged in transit.

For a UPS loss a sales invoice – claims are paid up to the insured amount less vat

For another carrier loss – a sales invoice and a notice to carrier.

If the package has been delivered and the consignee is denying receipt – a signed affidavit confirming this would be required.

For a damage – photos showing the damage to the external package, photos of the internal package and photos of the actual damage to the goods being claimed.

All claims must be submitted within 30 days. Claims must be submitted to sales@cvelectronics.co.uk.
